PPL / MONTOUR, PA

Pennsylvania Power & Light contracted with Jingoli to install 12 miles of a 24” HDPE cooling water discharge from their Montour Power Plant to the Susquehanna River.

Several installation methods and techniques were used to install the pipeline through 26 stream crossings, 3 railroad crossings, and 10 state road crossings. In addition to the complexities presented by the different crossings, Jingoli Construction installed the pipeline through wetlands and farmland.

The pipeline terminates 100 LF into the Susquehanna River where Jingoli installed a portable cofferdam system to construct the diffuser system.
