NORFOLK DECK EXPANSION & STUDENT HOUSING

The project consisted of a five-level parking deck expansion adjoining the existing Norfolk Parking Deck, with nine levels of student housing constructed above. The completed development provides 527 parking spaces, three leasable retail spaces, a new university fitness center, and 234 student housing units, including studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom layouts. 

JINGOLI completed all site and building construction, including site clearing, earthwork, paving, landscaping, site lighting, stormwater collection, and utility installation. The building scope included cast-in-place concrete, architectural precast, concrete plank systems, brick and granite veneer panels, and structural steel framing, along with exterior envelope components such as windows, storefronts, curtain walls, and metalwork. 

Interior construction included residential cabinetry and appliances, elevators, carpet, resilient flooring, ceramic tile, wall finishes, stone accents, and painting. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems included new electrical service and distribution, lighting, fire alarm and fire protection systems, plumbing, ductwork, packaged terminal air conditioning units, and rooftop mechanical units.
