RUTGERS UNIVERSITY THERMAL WATER INSTALLATION

Rutgers University and Developer DEVCO built two new Buildings in an expansion of the University; Rutgers Academic Building (RAB) and Honorʼs College. Rutgersʼ existing high temperature Hot Water System needed to be extended from the Central Plant to these two buildings. JINGOLI Construction was hired to Design and Install the hot water system extension which totaled 2100 Trench Feet of both Hot Water Supply and Return piping. Carrier Pipe for the HW piping ranged in size from 8” to 3”and was a Multi-Therm 750 welded hot water system. Piping was installed on Rutgersʼ campus, across a main road and through an existing parking lot. Hot Water low point and valve manholes were also installed in the project. JINGOLI Construction was also hired to perform a Jack and Bore across George Street, a main thoroughfare in New Brunswick, for a new campus electric service from a new substation.
