CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL
Location
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Owner
Camden County Improvement Authority
In an effort to improve what was a marginal cruise ship business, the Delaware River Port Authority engaged JINGOLI to construct a facility to handle the latest generation of luxury cruise ships.
A reinforced concrete foundation system constructed on a wooden piling system, upon which a 700-foot-long structural steel pedestrian walk way was erected.
A marine component, featuring both a breasting and mooring dolphin was part of the project in order to dock ships up to 1100 feet in length.
Additional improvements to the 900-foot pier consisted of paving, painting and specialized marine components all completed in five months.
