CENTRAL NEW JERSEY DATA CENTER EXPANSION

The project consisted of a data center expansion program in a live environment for a major multinational financial firm. The program involved several critical phases of white space expansion, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure upgrades. The ultimate goal was to deliver a flexible infrastructure capable of supporting high-density requirements in a Tier 3+ configuration.

• New 13.2 kv electrical service from the local utility.
• N+1 parallel redundant 7.5-megawatt generator plant.
• 3.5 megawatt UPS in a 2N configuration.
• Infrastructure upgrades to support 150 watts per square feet density.
• 900-ton chiller plant in an N+1 configuration.
• Complete upgrade of telecom infrastructure to support multiple carrier access.
• Diverse and redundant points of entry and distribution.
• Complete exterior and interior refurbishment.
