The Bucks County Women’s Correctional Facility was a phased project that included a new 55,000 SF expansion to accommodate 200 female inmates. Studies conducted in concert with key staff from the Department of Corrections and Facilities Operations determined an increased growth and need for three inmate classification units including minimum, medium, and maximum housing.
Phase 1 included the integration of the secure connecting corridor from the existing facility in conjunction with a new security recreation yard for inmate use.
Phase 2 consists of multi-story quad housing units designed to accommodate the various inmate classifications. Related departments including officer training and education, multi-purpose space, housing control, and administrative support were also incorporated into the design.
JINGOLI provided complete Project and Construction Management services from conceptual design through construction, occupancy, and project close-out.
