SCUDDER FALLS BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
Location
Owner
The Scudder Falls Bridge Replacement project consists of six through travel lanes and auxiliary lanes to handle traffic accelerating onto the bridge or decelerating off the bridge at the two adjoining interchanges. A bicycle and pedestrian path was installed on the North side of the bridge to allow access that has been previously unavailable since 1955.
JINGOLI along with our team of Hill International and Jacobs Engineering provided complete project management services during the multiple phases of planning, demolition, construction/reconstruction, realignments, facilities, noise-abatement walls, and more to make this a very successful project which will positively impact many people traveling though our area.
Project specifics include building a new bridge consisting of two structures, North & South, multiple lane spans, six miles of I-295 full reconstruction including adding a third thru lane and turn lanes, all-electronic tolling (AET) gantry and related infrastructure for highway-speed toll collection, monitoring facility, and supporting improvements on both left and right shoulders to accommodate a potential Bus Rapid Transit service. In addition a historic building was renovated as a facility for bicyclist/pedestrians connecting the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Delaware & Raritan Canal Towpaths.
