Salem County Landfill Gas to Energy Project is located at the Salem County Utility Authority's (SCUA) municipal solid waste landfill in Alloway, New Jersey. The project includes design, equipment procurement, construction, ownership and operation of the generation facility, along with the operation and maintenance of the well field and landfill gas collection system.
The SCUA project includes turn-key construction of a 1.9 MW power plant with one reciprocating engine / generator set and associated equipment interconnected to the local power grid. The project also includes a pipeline to convey landfill gas to a local college for direct end use.
