The Lower Bucks Hospital project is a five phase renovation project in an operating hospital to create new business office, a new 16 bed patient space and an expanded and renovated emergency department. The business office is approximately 3,770 SF; the patient bed space is approximately 5,650 SF; and the emergency department renovation is approximately 18,150 SF.
Work included complete demolition of all spaces, new mechanical roof top units, new sprinklers throughout, a new emergency generator, new medical gas outlets and headwalls in patient rooms and emergency exam areas, as well as new finishes and fixtures throughout.
All work was done while the adjacent hospital areas remained in operation. Work was done in small, individual phases to allow the hospital to maintain an acceptable level of service while the renovation and expansion was in progress. Access to the spaces, utility tie-ins, and space matching and connections required close coordination, adaptability, and scheduling. |
