The plant is located on the grounds of the correctional facility and attached to the support services building. Chilled water, hot water, steam and electrical power will be delivered to the entire complex.
The plant is capable of producing 1200 tons of cooling, 30,000 MMBTU/hr of high temperature hot water, 7200-lb/hr steam and 2.8 MW of power generation.
In addition to the CHCP facility, the project consisted of a 13.8 kV loop to distribute power within the correctional facility and a 26.4 kV outdoor substation.
