Due to a decade of significant population growth, the County of Chester required a comprehensive building plan to upgrade their space needs and propel their court facility into the 21st Century. The five-year effort consists of a new seven-story, 407,000 square foot courthouse facility with administrative space, a sally port, and 18 courtrooms. As part of the phased construction, the County first constructed a seven-level, 493 space parking garage and Bus Depot for SEPTA and other public transportation entities.
The project was designed to blend with the original architecture of downtown West Chester and includes a complete reconstruction of the Market Street area. |
