The D.R.P.A. commissioned JJS to act as the General Contractor / Construction Manager for the relighting of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. JJS teamed up with lighting consultants from Grenald Waldron and Associates and electrical consultants from Pennoni Associates.
JJS’s initial, most important task was to determine whether or not the necessary work could be completed by July 2000 ~ prior to the Republican National Convention held in Philadelphia. JJS professionals analyzed the existing lighting, power distribution and controls for the bridge and, based on their findings, made recommendations on how to proceed with this fast-track design / build project.
